Deposely is now Litem!

FAQs for Deposely rebranding to Litem

Written by Morgan McCallum

About the change:

  • Are you changing your name?

Yes. Deposely is becoming Litem. It’s a name change for the same company and product. It’s not a new company, and nothing you use day to day is changing.

  • Why “Litem”? What does it mean?

“Litem” means “lawsuit” in Latin. Our old name suggested we only did depositions. The new name reflects that we now support litigation intelligence across the case.

  • Is this a merger, acquisition, or change in ownership?

No. There’s no merger, acquisition, or change in ownership. Same company, same leadership, and same team, just a new name.

  • Has the company been sold or is your leadership changing?

No. Nothing about ownership or leadership is changing. This is purely a rebrand to match where the product has grown.

  • Is this just a new logo, or is something bigger happening?

The only change you need to act on is the name and brand. Behind it, our product has expanded from depositions to broader litigation intelligence, which is exactly why we’re rebranding. But there’s nothing you need to do differently.

What it means for you (the customer):

  • Do I need to do anything?

Almost nothing. You’ll notice a new name and look, and communications will come from our new brand and email domain (Litem.com). We’ll ask you to allowlist that domain so our messages reach you. Otherwise, keep working exactly as you do today.

  • Does my contract, subscription, or pricing change?

No. Your agreement, subscription, and pricing stay exactly as they are.

  • Will my invoices or the billing entity name change?

No. Our legal entity is not changing. We remain Deposely, Inc., now doing business as Litem. Your pricing, billing terms, and payment details all stay exactly the same, and no updates are needed on your accounts payable side. If the name shown on your invoices ever changes, we'll give you plenty of advance notice.

  • Do my logins or passwords change?

No. Your existing logins and passwords continue to work.

  • Is my data safe? Does anything change about security or where my data lives?

Nothing about your data, security posture, or data handling changes as a result of the rebrand.

  • Will my account manager or support contact change?

No. Your account and support contacts stay the same. The only difference is you’ll see them under the Litem name and email domain.

Product & naming:

  • Does the product I use change?

No. The product you use keeps working the same way. Over time you’ll see the Litem name and new product labels in the app, and we’re continuing to expand what the platform can do, but nothing you rely on today is being removed.

  • What happened to the deposition features I rely on?

They’re all still here. The deposition tools now live under “Litem Depositions.” Same capabilities, new label.

  • What is “litigation intelligence”?

It’s the category we build in: using AI on the complete, live discovery record, both documents and testimony, to help legal teams see the facts, strategize, and act faster across the case. It’s the natural expansion of the deposition intelligence work we started with.

  • How should I refer to you now?

Please use “Litem” going forward. During the transition, “Litem (formerly Deposely)” is perfect. It helps everyone connect the two names.

Communication & Logistics:

  • How will I recognize communications from you?

For several months, our communications will say “Litem (formerly Deposely)” so you can easily recognize us. Emails will come from our new domain.

  • Will your website and email domain change? What should we allowlist?

Yes. Our website and email domain are moving to the Litem brand. We recommend allowlisting the new domain (Litem.com) so our messages don’t get filtered.

  • I have Deposely bookmarked or have integrations set up; will those break?

We’re working to make the transition seamless. If anything needs attention on your side, we’ll reach out directly.
